One of the biggest challenges for newcomers in the cryptocurrency space is to get started. Finding the right wallet, installing it and backing it up can already seem tedious. And once you’re set up with a wallet, you will want to buy crypto. Ideally in a convenient way, just like online shopping.

Which cryptocurrencies are supported?

The following currencies can be bought on FMFW.io account: AAVE, ADA, ATOM, BAT, BCH, BSV, BUSD, BTC, CELO, CHZ, COMP, DOGE, DOT, EOS, ETC, ETH, ENJ, LTC, MANA, MATIC, ONT, SPICE, TRX, USDH, USDT, USDC, WAVES, XLM and XRP.

Here is a quick run-through of how to buy your first (second or 100.) currency with a card or via bank transfer on our exchange.

1. Sign in to your exchange account with your mail and password

2. Click on the button above the deposits: Buy Cryptocurrency with Credit Card or Bank Transfer

3. You’ll be forwarded to the buy page. Choose the currency you want to buy as well as the amount.

4. Below the widget in which you’ve specified currency and amount, you will see our three payment providers. Pick the one that suits you most and continue. We will outline the process for all three in the following section.

Please note that you might have to go through a quick e-mail verification, where a 4-letter code will be sent to your e-mail address

5. Your wallet address will automatically be pulled from your FMFW.io account.

6. You can now choose between Credit Card or Bank Transfer. Please note, if you want to pay via SEPA bank account, you’ll have to choose Euro as your default currency first (from the menu in the top right corner). The same applies to GBP payments (choose GBP as default currency)

Under Default Currency, you can switch between fiat currencies and then choose your payment method.

7. Enter your Credit Card or Bank details to finish the transaction and confirm.

8. All done! You will see your crypto within less than 10 min in your wallet when paying with credit cards. For bank transfers, it can take up to 1 business day.

Who can use the service?

Anyone older than 18 and a citizen of the following countries can use the service:

Which payment methods can be used?

Currently, MoonPay supports all major credit cards like visa and Mastercard as well as some prepaid, virtual and debit cards. Furthermore, ApplePay and GooglePay can be used at check-out.

What are the limits and verification that is required?

For transactions up to €150 per month, with a limit of €50 per transaction. You will need to provide:

For up to €20,000 per month, with a daily limit of €5,000 per card and €5,000 per bank transaction. In addition to the above, you will also need:

What are the limits?

Daily limits depend on your chosen payment method. Most payment methods have a daily maximum limit of $15,000 and a monthly maximum limit of $60,000.

6. You will be forwarded to the Mercuryo interface, where you’ll have to enter your e-mail address and phone number.

7. After passing verification, you can enter your payment details and press confirm.

8. All done. After confirming your payment, you will receive your crypto usually within minutes.

What are the limits?

Important note 1: The daily limit is counted not as a calendar day, from 00:00 till 23:59, but as a 24-hour period since purchasing.

Important note 2: The monthly limit is counted as a 31-day period since purchasing, and not as a calendar month.

How do I pass verification?

You can verify on Mercuryo using the following documents: Passport, National ID card (both sides) or Driving license.

In the second step, you’ll be required to take a selfie holding up your ID document. The whole process lasts usually no longer than 5 - 15 minutes and you’re fully verified.

In addition, please note that our payment gateway might not be able to process some bank cards based on your country/state and their policies towards cryptocurrency transactions.

Which payment methods can be used?

Mercuryo accepts only Visa and MasterCard - virtual, prepaid, debit, and credit cards. Only bank cards can be processed through Mercuryo at this point in time.
