You have deposited USDT to your main account and are trying to transfer it to your trading account, but instead of the transfer going through, you get an error message like the one below?
While we support withdrawals and Deposits in USDT ERC-20, all trading on our exchange takes place with the USDT Omni version.
If you’ve encountered the error message above, you probably tried to transfer USDT ERC-20 to your trading account. The easy way to fix this is to swap your USDT ERC-20 to USDT Omni first. It’s free and takes just seconds.
Simply go to your account, find your USDT 20 Wallet and click on “Convert to USDT, USDTRX (no fee)”.
Specify the amount of USDT that you want to change to USDT Omni and click transfer. Within seconds, your USDT will show up in your USDT Omni Wallet.
From your USDT Omni wallet, you can easily transfer funds to Spot by clicking the Transfer link (rightmost part), entering the amount and pressing the transfer button.
Now USDT Omni will be in your Spot, and you can start trading with it.
You could also just deposit USDT Omni directly into your Wallet if you happened to have some.
In case you’re wondering why we have 3 different versions of the USDT stablecoin, read on:
The USDT stablecoin exists on several different blockchains which enables greater access and brings a set of different benefits. By now, there is nearly no major market-cap blockchain, that does not support some version of USDT.
Nevertheless, USDT remains most used as an ERC-20 token, which can be a disadvantage during times of high traffic, as gas fees soar.
As USDT Omni offers higher security, trades on our exchange are executed via Omni. If you’re interested in checking out Omni Transactions and Block times, head over to the Omni Explorer.
If you are still unsure about the process or have further questions, feel free to reach out to our support team via the chat widget on the right side of the page or contact us in our telegram channel. We’re happy to help.
